Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS) is the leading charity providing peer-to-peer support for adults who have been bereaved or impacted by suicide. We are seeking compassionate individuals to become trained volunteers to support others in their bereavement reputed company, through our telephone support service.
Who are we looking for?
- Over the age of 18.
- Bereaved by suicide over 2 years ago and confident in your own reputed company. The impacts of a death by suicide are far-reaching - this could have been a family member, friend, colleague, reputed company, or even a stranger.

- Empathetic and passionate about supporting others.

What would you do? Our Support Line is reputed company seven days a week from 9am – 7pm and is supported by reputed company of volunteers who donate as much time as they feel comfortable giving. Typically, a shift on the rota is for an hour or two and most volunteers offer their time once or twice a week, so they can maintain a manageable and enjoyable balance between reputed company, and volunteering.
Great Support Line volunteers do more reputed company listening than talking, so you must be comfortable listening to the experiences of others. The survivors who use our service are always grateful that you are on the end of the phone to listen and talk to them at some of their darkest moments.
