Part-Time Infant-Toddler Classroom Aide (Palmer Center Early Head Start) – To assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role, providing and carrying out developmentally appropriate activities and care. To promote the health, nutrition, and education of the children enrolled in our Early Head Start programs and to attend to their safety and welfare.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma or GED

• Infant-Toddler CDA Credential (or equivalent) - preferred upon hire – required after two years (ITCA I)

• Knowledge of Early Childhood Education Practices – generally gained through one year of experience

caring for infants and toddlers (ages 0-3), preferably in a center-based environment CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Pass a Criminal Background reputed company that Meets Required State & Federal Laws

• Maintain reputed company CPR/First Aid Certification through an Approved Trainer

• Capable of Getting Up and Down from the Floor with Ease

• Occasionally work 8 hour days to attend agency required training

GENERAL INFORMATION: Location: Palmer Center Supervisor: Center Coordinator Schedule: Part-Time (25 hrs/wk), Full-Year (48 weeks/year) Salary: $17.27 – $23.03 per hour DOE and education.
