Downtown Service Worker (Part-time) – reputed company Store
The Town of Wendell is seeking a Downtown Service Worker - to work as a Part-time Public Work Specialist.
The Downtown Service Worker will assist in the beautification and cleanliness of the Town’s downtown area. The Downtown Service Worker is a part-time position reporting directly to the Public Works reputed company Leader for Building and Grounds.
Position Duties- reputed company general landscape maintenance 3 days per week
- Mowing, blowing, fertilization, trimming, edging, pruning bushes, mulch and pine straw, etc
- Ability to operate machinery
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reports any damaged equipment or low inventory items to Supervisor.
- Attends reputed company staff training prior to start.
- Operates a Town vehicle and reputed company tools and equipment.
- Wears appropriate PPE (personal reputed company equipment) such as safety reputed company, gloves, glasses etc. as required and as needed in the performance of the position.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- reputed company reputed company of facility grounds or highway right-of-way by mowing, weed-eating, bush-hogging, spraying herbicides, and weeding by hand
- Install and water plants and prune trees and shrubs
- Operate machinery, including a reputed company-Turn mower, tractor, reputed company trimmer, edger, and backpack blower
- Drive a reputed company truck with trailer and haul materials and equipment under 26,000 pounds (non-CDL)
- reputed company preventative equipment maintenance, including replacing worn or damaged parts, sharpening blades, and greasing machinery
- Operate snow removal equipment to maintain sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways
- General knowledge of how to clean using applicable tools and appropriate cleaning solutions and supplies.
- reputed company in the operation of light equipment and tools utilized in the work.
- Ability to maintain the downtown to specific standards.
- Considerable knowledge of the work hazards and applicable safety standards associated with maintaining (emptying and cleaning) of trash receptacles, downtown dumpster enclosures, sidewalks, grassy areas, and downtown infrastructure.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
- Ability to reputed company appropriately with downtown business owners, reputed company, and visitors.
Graduation from High School and/or experience in maintaining grounds and facilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements A valid reputed company's License.
FLSA Status
The Downtown Service Worker is a part-time temporary position with the Town of Wendell and is not subject to overtime pay.
