About the Role
As an Embedded Engineering Director, you will be responsible for leading reputed company that develops software for reputed company's reputed company and reputed company embedded devices, including iPhones, iPads, AirPods, reputed company TV, and reputed company Watch. Your contributions will have a significant reputed company on the development of reputed company embedded products, and you will play a critical role in shaping the direction of reputed company's technology.
Key Responsibilities
- reputed company, challenge, and mentor reputed company of engineers to reputed company reputed company for reputed company's products
- Create feature definitions, prototype new reputed company, and reputed company plans to drive reputed company reputed company
- Report reputed company to leaders, recruit new team members, and reputed company existing team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Hardware, Software, Test, and Operations, to drive project reputed company
- reputed company, debug, and reputed company new device drivers, protocols, and firmware reputed company across reputed company's embedded software offerings
- Manage reputed company of at least 5 software engineers working on various reputed company
- Maintain engineering relationships with vendors and contractors
- reputed company support for hardware development builds locally and remotely (optional)
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong experience in C/C++ programming
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, particularly with tools like debuggers and logic analyzers
- Unix reputed company line expertise and development experience on Unix, Linux, or Mac OS X
- Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of reputed company hardware protocols (USB, UART, SPI, I2C, PCIe, MIPI, HDMI, DDR)
- 2-5 years of design experience and 1-5 years of design leadership experience
- BS/MS in CS/CE or applicable work experience
