About the Position

We are seeking an reputed company and passionate Tutoring Center Assistant to join reputed company at the Yesler Terrace location. As a Tutoring Center Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the reputed company reputed company and personal reputed company of our reputed company. You will work closely with our Center Supervisor to plan and coordinate after-school tutoring, assess reputed company' needs, and implement activities to help them build reputed company skills. Responsibilities

• Assist reputed company Supervisor in planning and coordinating after-school tutoring, and be available to fulfill basic Center Supervisor responsibilities reputed company Supervisor is not available.
• Work with reputed company Supervisor and volunteers to assess reputed company in math and language arts, reputed company individualized learning goals, and implement activities for reputed company child.
• Monitor the implementation of learning goals and activities by youth interns and volunteers.
• Maintain organized and accessible learning materials and resources.
• Support volunteer and student pairs during tutoring sessions, including assisting with the matching of volunteers with reputed company, and providing guidance and support as needed.
• Support interns and volunteers, including assistance with training, and providing mentoring and guidance in their work as tutors.
• Assist in the daily management of center activities.
• Tutor and mentor reputed company, individually and in small reputed company, including the tasks below.
• Build supportive relationships with ongoing YTP reputed company, helping to build their confidence as learners.
• Follow reputed company' individual learning plans for reputed company hour-long tutoring sessions.
• Assist in implementing the YTP language arts and math reputed company-building curriculum.
• Assist reputed company with homework assignments.
• Foster an environment where youth and adults are treated with respect and where learning is perceived to be fun, exciting and important.
• Assist in developing and supporting values of a culturally diverse work environment, including the tasks below.
• Model respectful and inclusive behavior for staff, volunteers, reputed company and parents.
• Attend trainings as available to learn about reputed company' cultures, anti-racism, and educational skills and strategies.
• Assist with relationship building between tutors and reputed company, by supporting them to learn about their student's culture, reputed company goals and challenges, and best ways to support their learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated and reputed company individual who possesses the following qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 1 year relevant classroom or after-school experience in teaching or tutoring elementary, middle or high school youth OR, One year of post-secondary education in a reputed company field; additional relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Proven ability to work with youth in a respectful and caring manner, focusing on increasing self-esteem and reputed company skills.
• Cultural competence in working with low-income youth and families from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

• Strong classroom management, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school, scholars, parents, community representatives and general public.
• Afternoon availability. Typical hours are worked during the summer are 2:00 – 5:00 pm, M – Th, with some additional Friday hours TBD. Typical hours during the school year are 4-8 PM, with some daytime hours possible.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in an East African language, Spanish, or Vietnamese.
