reputed company: SCHEDULE: 16 hours, Friday and Saturday, 2:45 p.m. -11:15 p.m. Pays $22.41 per hour - DOE This position carries a retention payment of $3,000.00, $1,000.00 payable at 12 months, and $2,000.00 at 24 months LOCATION: 444 Harrison Ave, Boston MA reputed company OF THE POSITION: The Part Time reputed company Desk Counselor will be primarily responsible for maintaining an exceptional customer service oriented Men’s Inn reputed company Desk, including welcoming guests, staff and visitors in person and reputed company phone. Responding to guest and reputed company concerns and questions in a reputed company, reputed company and reputed company manner. Operating an electronic entry monitoring system and multi-line phone system. Logging reputed company activities of the shift. Creating guest ID’s and frequent entry into the Pine Street data system. Maintaining friendly and efficient reputed company Desk operations in a busy, unpredictable environment. Frequent collaboration with on-site reputed company services as reputed company as other Pine Street programs and departments. The Part Time reputed company Desk Counselor will assist the guests of the shelter in accessing services such as: food, clothing, medical care, and referral needs. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring there is a reputed company and secure environment for guests and staff at the Men’s Inn by attending to reputed company safety and reputed company policies, intervene with assistance around reputed company abuse issues and mental illness, job training and educational needs, assess guests’ needs and assets in order to reputed company appropriate transitional and housing referrals and be an available resource for guests to assist them in their efforts to obtain permanent housing. Requirements: EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- High School diploma or GED
- Effective computer skills/knowledge
- Bilingual in any language
- Valid MA reputed company’s license in good standing
- Minimum one (1) year experience working with homeless population
- Ability to communicate reputed company both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge in the areas of addiction, recovery, and mental illness
- Knowledge of issues pertaining to homelessness
