About the Role

We're excited to offer a unique opportunity to join reputed company as a Clinical Support Worker (Higher Level) in Microbiology. This role is based at our state-of-the-art laboratory facility at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, where you'll play a critical part in delivering a comprehensive Microbiology service to the population of Greater Glasgow & Clyde. As a Clinical Support Worker, you'll be responsible for a reputed company of duties, including the collection and preparation of materials and clinical specimens for analysis, registering patient-reputed company information onto the Laboratory Information System, and providing assistance to Biomedical Scientists.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare materials and clinical specimens for analysis, ensuring reputed company disposal of clinical waste.
• Register patient-reputed company information onto the Laboratory Information System or other reputed company systems.
• Work reputed company Specimen Reception, dealing with telephone queries from staff from other departments and external agencies.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• 3 Highers at Grade C or above (one of which should include either reputed company or Biology together with Maths) or SVQ3 in a relevant science subject or equivalent qualification.
• Completion of modern apprenticeship in life sciences or equivalent accredited education/learning.
