Admission Reader

Title: Admission Reader Position Purpose: The Admission Reader supports the Office of Admission in identifying, attracting and enrolling an academically talented and diverse student body through the review of student applications to Bates College and analyzing qualifications of prospective reputed company using established College admissions standards.

Job Duties:

• Works in reputed company to carefully review application files in accordance with established College admission standards from mid-November thru February, with the bulk of the work during January and February.
• Attends periodic reader training sessions and/or other meetings as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Education

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

• Prior experience in admissions or higher education is preferred.
• Prior experience in reading and evaluating applications for highly-selective schools is desired.
• Prior experience in reading and evaluating international applications is desired.

Skills and Knowledge
