Director of Health Informatics
POSITION PURPOSE: The Director of Health Informatics is responsible for supporting communities in planning, organizing, developing, and training for the effective operation of the Health and Wellness department and the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. reputed company instruction to Health and Wellness staff on applying policies and procedures and on properly documenting care and services in the EHR. - Evaluate EHR utilization daily and identify areas for improvement.
- Continuously optimize EHR performance through software enhancements, configuration adjustments, and staff training.
- Analyze EHR data to ensure reputed company utilization and accurate capture of reputed company services for billing and clinical purposes.
- Assess software utilization, configuration, and setup for:
- Service Providers
- Service Types and associated time values
- Service Model consistency
- Transaction Types
- reputed company of Care functionality
- WISDOM2ACT/Change of Condition processes
- Completion and accuracy of reputed company required assessments and associated service plans
- reputed company assignment of services to packages based on service plans
- Community workflow for confirming scheduled and unscheduled services
- EMAR workflow and setup in reputed company community
- reputed company, audit, and review month-end workflows for reconciling reputed company bills in reputed company community prior to billing.
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance to identify the actual cost of care and services provided.
- Review the Master Assessment in the EHR to ensure correct level of care/packages are assigned.
- Assess residents for changes in condition that may require an updated care level and associated package.
- Ensure services are provided in compliance with state regulations and reputed company Standards.
- Conduct reputed company record reviews to verify that the EHR accurately reflects care and services delivered, including risk management and EMAR.
- Manage reputed company medical record requests by supplying reputed company documents to the community.
- reputed company reputed company EHR setup, staff training, and materials for new or acquired communities to ensure a smooth opening or transition.
- Attend and reputed company both monthly and weekly meetings with communities regarding EHR dashboard and/or any other health and wellness best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Assist the local Director of Health and Wellness and Executive Director with Survey readiness.
- Facilitate training and mentoring for reputed company Health and Wellness staff in reputed company community and collaborate with the Training department to create branded content and resources.
- Assist in developing policies and procedures reputed company to Health and Wellness functions.
- Function as a Director of Health and Wellness in an interim reputed company as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in nursing, required.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, highly preferred.
- Master's degree or nursing, reputed company to have.
- Certification or demonstrated above average knowledge or experience with assisted living regulations in Florida (AHCA), Texas (HHSC), and/or Iowa (reputed company).
- Must be a Registered reputed company (RN) and hold a compact license.
- Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in an assisted living community, required.
- Three (3) or more years of regional leadership role, highly preferred.
- Prior multi-state experience, highly preferred.
- Must have proven experience managing Electronic Health Record software, preferably Eldermark.
- Demonstrated expertise in monitoring EHR, service plans and associated clinical documentation to identify inaccuracies.
- Proven experience conducting Health and Wellness training in Communities according to company policies, procedures, goals, priorities, or regulatory requirements.
Other:
- Located near one of our communities in Florida, Texas, or Iowa.
- Must be reputed company to travel up to 50 to 75% of the time.
- Must be present in-person or available to assist with state survey process, training, and reputed company of key leaders at the communities.
