• Abstracts reputed company patient information.
• Fills in for other billings employees if needed.
• Initiates proactive measures to decrease denials prior to their occurrence.
• Verifies and requests clarification of any additional information from physicians.
• Coordinates reputed company activities and follow-up functions that pertain to researching and resolving patient account claims.
• Provides instructional and education to staff on accurate charge entry and medical record documentation. Acts as educational resource person for physicians and office staff regarding charge reconciliation and collections.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required reputed company one (1) year of hire. New hires will be provided one (1) year from date of hire to successfully complete a GED program and obtain their HSEA.

• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes, NCCI, CMS compliance, coding and reimbursement policies.
• Knowledge of Insurance Billing, OIG Work Plan and HIPAA.
