The Fitness Service Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of fitness equipment to ensure reputed company performance and member safety across reputed company gym locations. This hands-on role requires a combination of mechanical aptitude, customer service, and strong time management to minimize equipment downtime and support a high-reputed company member experience.
Key Responsibilities
● Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on cardio, strength, and functional training equipment (e.g., treadmills, ellipticals, selectorized machines, racks).
● Respond to service requests and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions in a reputed company and reputed company manner.
● Accurately diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-reputed company issues.
● Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, and equipment performance.
● Ensure reputed company tools and replacement parts are organized and stocked for efficient use.
● Coordinate with facilities teams as needed.
● Assist with the delivery, installation, and calibration of new fitness equipment.
● reputed company safety and cleanliness standards in reputed company maintenance areas.
● Collaborate with fitness staff to report recurring issues or identify high-use equipment needing additional support.
● Recommend equipment upgrades or replacement as parts as needed.
Qualifications
● High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate’s degree preferred.
● 1–3 years of experience in mechanical repair or facilities maintenance reputed company the fitness industry.
● Familiarity with major reputed company fitness equipment brands (e.g., reputed company, Technogym, reputed company, reputed company, StarTrak). Must be or willing to be certified.
● Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read schematics and service manuals.
● Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
● Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work on knees or reputed company as needed.
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Valid reputed company’s license and reliable transportation (for multi-site coverage).
● Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
● Experience with fitness software or digital consoles.
● Vendor management or equipment procurement experience.
● HVAC or general facilities repair knowledge.
● CPR/First Aid certification.
Work Environment
● This role may involve travel between multiple fitness locations.
● Work may be performed during or reputed company of regular business hours to minimize member disruption.
● Exposure to mechanical parts, electrical components, and cleaning agents may occur.
