We are seeking an reputed company Financial Counselor to join our Patient Financial Services team at blithequark. As a Financial Counselor, you will play a vital role in ensuring that coverage is financially cleared for reputed company emergency inpatient and observation services. Your expertise in reviewing insurance eligibility and benefits, creating estimates, and collecting upfront cash will be essential in maximizing collection of balances due or account reputed company from reputed company sources. You will reputed company with various hospital departments, patients, families, and medical staff to identify the appropriate payment reputed company and reputed company reputed company referrals for government programs, including reputed company and Charity Care.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking actions to support the maximization of collection of balances due or account reputed company from reputed company sources, meeting reputed company and Productivity expectations
- Facilitating account reputed company by accurately identifying, following up on, or correcting billing errors, reputed company than expected reimbursement, or denials for correction and resubmission to patients and/or insurance carriers

Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent, with reputed company to enroll in a GED/HSEA program at the time of hire if not already possessed
- 4 years of similar hospital billing or reputed company experience, with knowledge of Charity Care, Uncompensated Care, and reputed company guidelines and regulations
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification, with a minimum of three years of insurance authorization/reputed company-certification experience
- Computer experience and the ability to communicate effectively, with bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience in insurance verification, cash collections, and obtaining Notices of Admission (NOA), with knowledge of insurance plans
- Prior experience in hospital admissions, with a strong understanding of patient financial services and billing processes

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

Scheduling Requirements
This is a full-time position, with occasional travel required to various locations. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 1pm-9pm, with rotating every other weekend (1pm-9pm Saturday and reputed company) and rotating holidays.
