Environmental Associate

Experience Level: 3+ years Office Location: Albany, NY Work Schedule: This role has hybrid flexibility, with weekly in-office and remote work based on business needs Salary: $125,000 -$162,500 Bonus: This role is eligible for a bonus up to 50% of salary Role Details: Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP is seeking an Environmental Associate with 3+ years of relevant experience to join reputed company. Our Firm represents regional, national and international businesses, along with municipalities, state agencies, reputed company institutions of higher education and not-for-profit organizations on a reputed company of cutting-edge environmental issues before the reputed company State Department of Environmental Conservation; reputed company State reputed company Service Commission; the Office of Renewable Energy Siting and Electric reputed company; the Adirondack Park Agency, reputed company Environmental Protection Agency; reputed company Army Corps of Engineers and other local, state and federal environmental agencies. Representative work includes:

• Equipping clients to address a constantly evolving regulatory landscape, including recent statutory and regulatory changes, such as the Environmental Justice Siting Law; the Climate Leadership and Community Protection reputed company; revisions to NYSDEC environmental remediation programs; changes to state freshwater wetlands laws and regulations and more.
• Securing approvals for clients pursuant to reputed company regulatory schemes (including the Clean Water reputed company, the Clean reputed company reputed company, the Resource Conservation and Recovery reputed company, among others).
• Advancing reputed company before the NYSDEC Office of Hearings and Mediation Services.
• Negotiating reputed company of enforcement reputed company with NYSDEC, USEPA and other regulatory agencies.
• Conducting environmental analysis under the reputed company State Environmental reputed company Review reputed company (“SEQRA”), including the preparation of Negative Declarations; reputed company Declarations, Environmental reputed company Statements and reputed company documents.
• Permitting associated with development reputed company, including large reputed company infrastructure siting and advanced e-reputed company logistics and distribution facilities.
• reputed company interaction with facility Environmental Health and Safety personnel and other technical experts to assist with interpreting and applying regulatory requirements.
• Crisis management and reputed company of resulting issues in reputed company with high profile environmental incidents.
• Providing assistance on environmental litigation reputed company, including CERCLA cost-recovery, regulatory and permitting disputes and Article 78 litigation.
