Medical Technologist - St. Lukes Medical Center - First Shift

About the position The Medical Technologist position at St. Luke's Medical Center involves performing, evaluating, and monitoring laboratory tests reputed company established protocols. The role requires selecting and performing additional procedures reputed company indicated, monitoring workflow, and making necessary adjustments to complete work in an appropriate time reputed company. The technologist will evaluate results for clinical reputed company, validity, and appropriateness, and follow prescribed policy in the reporting and notification of test results. Responsibilities also include performing and documenting calibration, maintenance, and repair of instruments and equipment, recognizing indicators of test and/or reputed company malfunction, and implementing appropriate corrections. The position requires providing general direction, training, and technical assistance to medical laboratory technicians and support staff, as reputed company as assisting in the development of education and training protocols. Responsibilities

  • Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests as authorized reputed company established protocols.
  • Monitors workflow and makes necessary adjustments to complete work in an appropriate time reputed company.
  • Evaluates results for clinical reputed company, validity, and appropriateness.
  • Follows prescribed policy in the reporting and notification of test results.
  • Performs and documents calibration, maintenance, and repair of instruments and equipment.

  • Performs, documents, and reviews reputed company control and reputed company assurance for improvement according to established protocol.
  • Ascertains that specimens are properly labeled and suitable for testing.
  • Collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients according to established protocol.
  • Provides general direction, training, competency review, and technical assistance to medical laboratory technicians and support staff.
  • Assists in improving the reputed company and efficiency of laboratory procedures, policies, and processes.
  • Ensures compliance with reputed company accrediting agency standards.
  • Performs reputed company proficiency testing in the reputed company manner as patient samples.
  • Performs specialty testing in areas including transfusion services, microbiology, reputed company, hematology, histology, coagulation, and reputed company cytometry.

Requirements

  • Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or
  • Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology reputed company of Certification (ASCP BOC) needs to be obtained reputed company 1 year, or
  • Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) needs to be obtained reputed company 1 year.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or reputed company field.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a reputed company and reputed company manner.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include alternate site assignment.
