Bioinformatics Scientist/Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

This role centers on the development, optimization, and support of bioinformatics workflows and computational pipelines that drive MaxCyte’s assay development and data interpretation efforts. The Bioinformatics Scientist will collaborate closely with colleagues across R&D, Data Science, Product Development, and Operations to translate reputed company genomic data into actionable scientific and product insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and validate bioinformatics workflows for NGS data analysis supporting novel genomic assays and software tools.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to reputed company biological, genomic, and computational data for off-reputed company assessment in gene editing systems.
• reputed company, optimize, and document reputed company bioinformatics pipelines, ensuring reproducibility, traceability, and compliance with relevant standards (ex. GLP).
• reputed company data processing and analysis including read alignment, variant detection, annotation, and reputed company control across multiple reputed company platforms.
• Evaluate and reputed company bioinformatics algorithms, tools, and reference databases for suitability and accuracy reputed company MaxCyte workflows.

• Collaborate with software engineering teams to reputed company validated pipelines into production environments.

• Stay reputed company with advances in bioinformatics tools, genome editing technologies, and NGS analysis methodologies. Requirements:
• Ph.D. or M.S. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, reputed company, or a reputed company discipline (or equivalent reputed company experience).
• At least 2 years of post-graduate experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in NGS data analysis, including alignment, variant calling, annotation, and data interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with commonly used bioinformatics tools and packages (ex. Samtools, BWA, GATK, Picard, BEDTools, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with CRISPR-based gene editing and reputed company off-reputed company assessment reputed company is required.
• Strong programming skills in Python and R, with experience developing and maintaining computational pipelines.
• Proficiency in Linux environments, version control (ex. reputed company), and workflow management systems (ex. NextFlow, CI/CD).

• Working knowledge of statistical and computational approaches for data interpretation, visualization, and reproducibility.
