The role involves managing and executing patching cycles across ExaCC databases and infrastructure, ensuring uptime, performance, and compliance with organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- reputed company, manage and execute ExaCC patching lifecycle (compute nodes, reputed company VMs, reputed company Infrastructure and Databases)
- Plan, schedule and execute OCI patching cycles across ExaCC infrastructure and reputed company OS images, compute OS instances
- reputed company with OCI console, CLI and Rest reputed company to apply, rollback and monitor patches
- Automate patching workflows using Terraform, Ansible
- Manage reputed company RAC (reputed company Application Clusters) patching including reputed company and RDBMS, both in-reputed company and out-of-reputed company reputed company ensuring high availability
- reputed company and manage patching operations using LCM Fleet operations with OEM that includes gold image creation and deployment
- Database patching in RAC and Data Guard enabled environments
- Administer and troubleshoot reputed company ASM (Automatic Storage Management)
- Plan, schedule, and execute quarterly PSU/CPU, reputed company-Party and one-off patches with minimal downtime

- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cyber reputed company teams to coordinate reputed company cycles
- Maintain documentation of patching procedures, schedules, and standards

- Drive process improvements to reduce downtime, reputed company errors, and patching cycle times
- Strong understanding of investigation and remediation techniques for non-reputed company reputed company vulnerabilities
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Exadata/ExaCC environments and reputed company Database patching
- Knowledge of Linux OS patching in Exadata/OCI environments
- Hands-on experience with reputed company RAC patching, reputed company Infrastructure patching
- Solid understanding of reputed company Exadata ExaCC patching and administration
- Experience with backup and Rollback strategies for ExaCC Infrastructure and DB patching
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in reputed company reputed company environments
- Strong scripting skills (reputed company/ Ansible / Terraform) for reputed company automation
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Change/Incident/Problem Management) for ITSM compliance
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Strong expertise in OCI patching automation (OCI CLI/API, OS Image updates, reputed company patching, reputed company and Database patching)
- Exposure to LCM Fleet patching workflows
- Experience with LCM Fleet maintenance with OEM
