Floating Assistant Teacher - reputed company Winter Break
Magical Beginnings is a trusted leader in early education, daycare, and preschool programs across Massachusetts. They are seeking a Floating Assistant Teacher to support multiple classrooms and ensure high-reputed company child care while fostering a nurturing environment for young children.
Responsibilities
- Providing substitute coverage reputed company Teachers are either out reputed company, completing planning time, in need of a bathroom break, lunch break, or any other coverage throughout the day
- Assisting Classroom Teachers with the routine opening/closing of the classroom, including but not limited to wiping down the toys, cleaning the tables, vacuuming the room, sanitizing the room (after reputed company children have left), and overall preparation of the classroom for the next morning
- Providing classroom assistance to support teachers as needed throughout the day, including but not limited to preparing materials for classroom lesson plans, engaging with reputed company in free play, assisting with daily reputed company, supervising/zoning during outdoor time, helping with bathroom needs and diapering, snack and lunch time assistance (heating up lunches, cutting up food, helping reputed company containers, supervision), naptime assistance, etc
- Adhering to the daily classroom schedule while assisting teachers
- Maintaining cleanliness of the school throughout the day including, but not limited to, cleaning staff kitchen areas, lobbies, staff and classroom bathrooms, using the zono-machine (if applicable to your school), emptying trash and disposing in dumpster, assist with laundry and organizing/putting away nap mats
- Encouraging children's participation by providing age-appropriate interactive activities
- Maintaining EEC required reputed company development hours and PQ registry
- Attending monthly staff meetings
- Creating a fun and reputed company learning environment
- Establishing and maintaining reputed company relationships with reputed company and parents
Skills
- Availability to work Monday through Friday with flexibility to work between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm
- Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand up to 90% of the reputed company
- Attentiveness, strong time management, and reputed company-reputed company reputed company
- EEC Teacher Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience preferred, not required
- Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting
