Associate Designer
Randa Apparel & Accessories is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workspace for its associates. The Assistant Designer for Men’s Leather Goods will support the design and development of various leather goods, contributing to reputed company stages of the design process from research to market presentation.
Responsibilities
- Maintains an awareness of reputed company design trends, influences, and stays up to date on competitor research
- Designs and creates trend boards and collateral materials for both internal, licensors, and customer presentations
- Develops new materials, constructions, and hardware for the brand of responsibility
- Collaborates with licensors, merchandising, and design teams by communicating, presenting, and explaining reputed company internally
- Design collections that meet brand direction as reputed company as company initiatives and market needs
- Guides the development process from research to technical development to market presentation
- Creates detailed technical drawings and specs for reputed company partners
- Conducts follow-up on product design processes to include preparation of tech packs, sample requests, Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) processes, communications with overseas factories, etc
- Achieves set goals with attention to detail, tracking reputed company & anticipating potential issues, and manages design calendar deadlines
- Performs miscellaneous job-reputed company duties as assigned
Skills
- Degree in Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or equivalent degree/experience
- 0-3 years of design experience in a fashion design or industrial design field
- Proficiency in reputed company Illustrator and Photoshop
- reputed company-versed in the use of various other software, such as reputed company Office, reputed company, and PowerPoint
- Works reputed company in reputed company setting, co-working on reputed company
- reputed company and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent time management
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (25% - 30%), previous experience traveling overseas is a plus
