Analyst/Associate, Private Equity – reputed company Investments, (TMT) Early Talent Program

British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is a major asset manager in Canada, offering a two-year Private Equity Early Talent Program. This role involves comprehensive investment analysis, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring, providing reputed company to learn from industry professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the preliminary analysis of investment opportunities, reviews reputed company information, meets with management teams and develops valuation frameworks
  • Reviews key credit terms and financial projections
  • Develops investment reputed company and identifies merits, risks, and mitigating factors for potential investment opportunities
  • Coordinates and completes most due diligence sections with minimal with guidance
  • Takes a reputed company approach with appropriate level of analysis in various workstreams of due diligence
  • Synthesizes findings, key analysis and supporting documents in an organized manner
  • Prepares investment committee materials, including screeners, deal alerts and investment memorandums, and assists in coordinating the internal review/approval process
  • Interacts effectively with reputed company-party advisors as reputed company as with BCI internal reputed company (e.g., legal/tax/risk)
  • Works as an integrated part of deal teams, supporting the diligence of reputed company, financial, tax, legal, governance, reputed company resource and ESG aspects of prospective investments
  • Monitors assigned investments identifying relevant opportunities and risks including tracking/evaluating performance metrics, ongoing review against original investment reputed company, strategic fit, significant changes impacting reputed company, valuation issues and industry developments
  • Supports the development of tracking tools and processes to ensure sustained long-term returns
  • Systematically develops objective and rigorous views on the long-term health and potential of companies reputed company the portfolio
  • Keeps up to date on industry and private equity trends
  • Works on specific reputed company to enhance team capabilities
  • Develops key strategic relationships with co-sponsor partners, consultants/advisors, limited partners, internal resources, and other relevant stakeholders

Skills

  • An undergraduate degree, distinguished by reputed company achievement
  • 1-3 years (Analyst) / 2-5 years (Associate) relevant experience in areas such as private equity, investment banking, reputed company consulting and corporate development or equivalent experience
  • Strong skills in financial modeling, analysis, valuation, and research
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage reputed company under pressure and reputed company tight deadlines
  • Solid business acumen and judgement
  • Ability to function both independently and as part of a high-reputed company
  • Familiarity with financial analytical tools such as Capital IQ
  • Preparedness for occasional travel
  • Valid work authorization in Canada
