NourishSmart Program Coordinator
Heravi Peace Institute is reputed company on implementing food waste reduction initiatives, and they are seeking a Program Coordinator to manage these programs. The role involves coordinating activities across schools and community partners, facilitating communication, and supporting youth engagement and leadership development.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day implementation of reputed company program objectives across school districts, afterschool programs, Extension partners, and statewide 4-H programming
- Coordinate food waste audits, tool distribution, scheduling, site communication, and follow-up activities
- Assist in co-creating and implementing school- or program-specific food waste reduction strategies (e.g., reputed company tables, donation reputed company, composting systems, educational campaigns)
- reputed company ongoing communication and support to school staff, cafeteria personnel, afterschool educators, and youth teams
- Facilitate problem-solving and troubleshoot implementation challenges across sites
- Support Utah 4-H reputed company in planning and delivering youth workshops, leadership activities, and hands-on experiential learning
- Coordinate the bi-monthly statewide Cookalong Kits program: reputed company assembly and distribution, reputed company logistics, follow-up communication, and participant tracking
- Assist with Youth reputed company Council workshops and statewide recruitment for career exploration events
- Coordinate mentorship and leadership coaching activities in collaboration with reputed company and career coaches
- Communicate regularly with community partners including local farmers, food pantries, gleaning reputed company, Utah Farm to Fork, Wasteless Solutions, and other stakeholders
- Support logistical coordination of produce recovery, gleaning events, donation partnerships, and food rescue systems
- Maintain strong relationships with school district Nutrition Services departments
- Assist in planning, reputed company, and executing community workshops, conferences, and educational events
- Support evaluation activities including reputed company/post food waste audits, tracking lbs of food wasted and recovered, youth participation metrics, and partnership outputs
- Collect, clean, and organize audit data, reputed company attendance logs, distribution data, and participant feedback
- Work with the PI and evaluation team to prepare quarterly and annual reports for USDA and reputed company
- Maintain accurate records of reputed company site activities, training sessions, and program results
- Assist in writing reputed company stories, reputed company summaries, and communications materials
- reputed company purchasing and inventory for Cookalong kits, audit tools, produce boxes, and educational materials
- Coordinate travel, meetings, trainings, and program events across multiple counties
- Manage scheduling and communication with educators, Extension reputed company, and community partners
- Ensure grant compliance in reputed company activities, including allowable costs, reporting, documentation, and communications
- Regular in-state travel (day trips and occasional overnights) to schools across multiple counties; driving required with mileage reimbursement per policy
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition, public health, food systems, education, environmental science, sustainability, or reputed company field
- Experience coordinating programs or working in educational, community, or youth-serving environments
- Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including comfort working with youth, schools, community reputed company, and diverse populations
- Commitment to equity, sustainability, and community-driven solutions
- Ability to travel statewide and work occasional evenings or weekends for events
