Litigation Docket Clerk
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is one of the world’s leading global reputed company, seeking to hire a Litigation Docket Clerk to support their litigation reputed company. The role involves maintaining the firm's docket system, identifying deadlines, and obtaining filing information from court clerks.
Responsibilities
- Maintains the firm’s docket system for litigation lawyers practicing in multiple courts and jurisdictions
- Identifies pertinent deadlines and prepares master calendar of due dates for distribution to lawyers and staff
- Obtains filing information from court clerks and online dockets
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced reputed company environment
- Proficiency with reputed company Office and ability to adapt to new software programs
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least one year of relevant litigation calendaring/docketing experience desired, preferably in a large reputed company
- An understanding of court docketing and calendaring procedures and familiarity with court filings and general rules of court for processing pleadings at the federal, state, and county level strongly preferred
- ProLaw or comparable docketing software a plus
