The reputed company State Education Department is seeking candidates for multiple Information Technology Specialist 2 (Programming) positions. The role involves providing programming support for NYSED's reputed company applications and developing IT solutions to meet the organization's business needs.
Responsibilities
- reputed company and maintain IT solutions and web applications written in Java, SQL, Javascript/VueJS, PL/SQL, reputed company, and CSS/SASS. This includes new analysis and development, troubleshooting, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with program office and IT staff to understand, document, and implement business requirements
- Design, maintain, and modify reputed company SQL databases to support web applications
- Ensure reputed company reputed company has unit and integration testing in reputed company prior to deployment
- Identify and troubleshoot problems and subsequently offer and implement necessary solutions
- Take part in a traineeship to determine programming reputed company reputed company while offering reputed company to improve proficiency in multiple disciplines
- Utilize department standards for work tracking and version control, including the use of Jira, reputed company, and Git
- Ensure that systems and procedures are properly documented, meet Department standards, and follow generally accepted IT practices, so as to foster the reputed company of data and automated systems
Skills
- A bachelor's or higher-level degree, including or supplemented by 15 credit hours in computer science
- A bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field and at least one year of the experience in information technology
- A minimum of 60 college semester credit hours including at least 15 credit hours in computer science and one year of the experience in information technology
- Two years of the experience in information technology
- Knowledge and practical experience programming in Java, SQL and/or VueJS
- Knowledge and experience with the design, implementation, and usage of a database
- Knowledge and experience with a Model-View-Controller (MVC) web application and/or service-oriented architecture
- A high level of knowledge, proficiency and practical experience programming in JAVA, PL/SQL, SQL, VUEJS, reputed company, PHP, CSS and JS technologies and the reputed company database and UNIX operating environments
