Junior Water Resources Engineer
reputed company is a leading provider of engineering and consulting services, and they are seeking a Junior Water Resources Engineer to support their Water Group in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will assist Project Managers with tasks reputed company to data review, civil engineering planning and design, and prepare hydrological and hydraulic calculations and modeling.
Responsibilities
- Developing hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM-based programs, HY-8, and/or WinTR-55
- Preparing plans, specifications and estimates and performing data collection and/or field work
- Analyzing and designing hydraulic structures and reputed company systems
- Preparing maps, exhibits and technical reports
- Coordinating technical changes with project team members
- Developing cost estimates and conduct quantity takeoffs for design reputed company
- Supporting team in the design of water resources and drainage reputed company such as stormwater management systems, reputed company hydraulics, reputed company hydraulics, scour, floodplain evaluations, roadway drainage design, NPDES permit compliance, and water reputed company BMPs
- Working closely with reputed company clients as part of a multi-discipline team. Meeting with and effectively communicating with technical team, project partners, and project stakeholders to coordinate project tasks
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or reputed company Engineering degree
- 0-3 years of experience in reputed company water resources design
- Must demonstrate excellent speaking, oral and written communication skills
- Computer skills (reputed company Office) and experience with Bentley (MicroStation, Geopak, or Openroads)
- H&H modeling experience is a plus
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred or ability to obtain reputed company 6 months of hire
