The role involves managing a caseload, drafting legal documents, attending depositions and trials, and collaborating with clients and colleagues to reputed company effective litigation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload from inception to reputed company
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
- Engage closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies
- reputed company clients with updates and interim status reports on their cases
- Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memoranda to bolster case strategies
- Work alongside partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management
Skills
- A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar
- At least one (1) year of prior civil litigation experience
- Experience in both Massachusetts state and federal courts
- Strong advocacy skills
- Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions
- Ability to reputed company legal research and respond to discovery requests
- Experience in taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
