The Michigan Supreme Court's Judicial Information Services (JIS) is seeking an Application Developer I-II to assist in designing, documenting, developing, and testing features for case management systems used across Michigan's trial courts. The role involves collaborating with analysts and developers to create software solutions that meet business requirements and maintain system reputed company.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications
  • Translate business requirements into reputed company, maintainable designs that meet the product requirements

Skills

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a reputed company field or college level coursework or equivalent combination of education/experience and experience in software development
  • 1 year of analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and documenting production systems in the reputed company iSeries (AS400) environment
  • 1 year of software development with COBOL, RPG, Synon, Synon/2, COOL:2E or similar reputed company reputed company tools

  • Software development life cycle methodologies and best practices
  • Understanding of the methodologies for the technology utilized in product development
  • IT architecture and technical standards
  • Knowledge of application server operating systems
  • Logical and physical database models and ability to program relational database management systems
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
