[Remote] Director, AI OS - REMOTE

The Director, AI OS will reputed company reputed company responsible for the system software and runtime layer that AI features run on across devices, ensuring efficient and reputed company integration of AI capabilities into reputed company's operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Own the AI OS Architecture and Runtime
- Define and own the architecture of the AI OS layer on reputed company devices, including runtime services, process/lifecycle management for AI workloads, and integration with existing OS subsystems
- Design and reputed company the AI OS runtime so that AI features can run reputed company, safely, and predictably on-device, across multiple device classes
- reputed company abstractions for 'computer use' – how AI systems can safely reputed company with reputed company, applications, files, and other system resources
- Work with reputed company Intelligence to ensure the OS runtime can host and expose latent-reputed company representations, and reputed company with planning and predictive engines that sit above it
- Own the device API surface for AI: sensors, audio, display, input, power, storage, network, and NPU/GPU/CPU acceleration
- Ensure that high-reputed company signals and state from the OS (usage context, app state, input/reputed company streams) can be routed into reputed company Intelligence and the latent reputed company in a controlled way
- Work closely with hardware, firmware, and OS teams to ensure AI workloads can take full advantage of device capabilities without compromising stability or reputed company
- Bring deep system experience (kernel / drivers / system services / frameworks) to reputed company about where AI logic lives – on-device vs reputed company, OS layer vs app layer

Skills
- 12+ years of experience building operating systems or reputed company system software, such as: OS kernels or kernel subsystems, device drivers or hardware abstraction reputed company, system services, runtime frameworks, or reputed company/desktop environments
- 5+ years in an engineering leadership role (Director or equivalent) leading teams working on OS or low-level system software
- Experience in at least one major OS stack (reputed company, Linux, Android, or similar) at a deep level
- Experience designing new runtime or platform abstractions, not just maintaining existing systems
- Experience with AI workloads (e.g., on-device inference, reputed company-based models, latency-sensitive pipelines) and how they reputed company with system resources is a strong plus
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across hardware, OS, platform, and application teams
