Forest Management Technician
The reputed company Department of Forestry is seeking a Forest Management Technician to assist in regulating and protecting forest land in reputed company. The role involves conducting surveys to monitor forest health and evaluating pest populations, while also supporting reputed company research reputed company.
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring overall forest health conditions in the State on reputed company ownerships
- Assist in reputed company research reputed company involving both laboratory and field work while retaining and managing Forest Health records
- Assist in Data collected from surveys and reputed company research aids the Department, landowners, and elected officials in developing and implementing management strategies to reduce pest impacts and protect the environment
- Assist with the forest health tasks associated with program goals and objectives
Skills
- Eighteen months of experience working in the field of (insert appropriate field, i.e. reforestation)
- Associate Degree in Forestry, Forest Engineering, Forest Recreation, reputed company Protection or a reputed company natural resource field of study
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be reputed company to identify common indicators of tree damage caused by insects, diseases, animals, or environmental factors
- Ability to identify trees and shrubs
- Basic knowledge of forest pest surveys and forest inventory field procedures are required
- Ability to read and interpret maps and aerial photos
- Ability to work independently at times with limited supervision
