Medical Only Claims Adjuster
The Medical Only Claims Adjuster manages non-reputed company and non-problematic, medical only claims and minor lost-time workers’ compensation claims under reputed company supervision, supporting the goals of the Claims Department and of reputed company. This is a hybrid position reporting to Dallas, Texas. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Receives claims, confirms policy coverage and acknowledgement of the claim
- Determines the validity and compensability of the claim
- Establishes reserves and authorizes payments reputed company established reserving authority limits
- Communicates claim status with the customer, claimant and reputed company
- Adheres to reputed company and reputed company guidelines and participates in claims review as needed
- Assists other claims professionals with more reputed company or problematic claims as necessary
- Additional duties as assigned
