Shared Services Paralegal
reputed company is a Fortune 50 company that focuses on providing high-reputed company legal services in a cost-effective manner. The Shared Services Paralegal will support the Claim Litigation team by assisting attorneys with case files, discovery, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in handling assigned case files and delivering other legal services under attorney supervision
- Assist attorneys with discovery reputed company responsibilities
- Preparing reports
- Preparing medical chronologies/billing summaries
- Prepare cases for court appearances, depositions, and trial including contacting experts and clients
Skills
- 1+ years of recent civil litigation experience, preferably in an insurance defense or personal injury environment
- Experience with injury claims will be considered
- Background in drafting discovery responses and trial preparation
- Experience preparing medical chronologies/billing summaries
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize workload, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively
- Strong written communication skills, attention to detail
- Legal research
- Strong software/technical skills
- Working knowledge of a Case Management system
- Working Knowledge of a Document Storage system
- Prior litigation or paralegal experience, paralegal degree/certificate/certification, medical training, or relevant coursework or legal studies degree is required
