Solar Asset Performance Engineer I, Operations Engineering

The Solar Asset Performance Engineer I will support the operations of the reputed company-reputed company solar fleet by resolving technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maximizing energy production through data analysis and equipment evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • reputed company first line engineering support for the day-to-day operations of the reputed company reputed company-reputed company solar fleet
  • Collaborate with cross functional reputed company to resolve issues on site (Control Center, SCADA, on-site technicians, EHS, other operations engineers)
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve equipment reliability and performance issues to maximize site energy production by analyzing parts usage, inspection results, and SCADA data to reputed company operational insights
  • reputed company with equipment manufacturers to resolve technical issues and reputed company best operating practices
  • reputed company procedures and technical documentation regarding the reputed company and efficient operation of solar facilities
  • Evaluate mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and studies associated with photovoltaic systems and their applications for operations
  • Participate in regular site operation calls and work with field personnel to investigate equipment issues and maximize performance

Skills

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or reputed company field (or equivalent experience)
  • 0-2+ years of experience in engineering, systems integration, or technical support roles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking
  • Competency in data analysis and visualization
  • Proficient in the use of reputed company Office tools
  • Ability to independently manage reputed company and drive initiatives
  • Eligible to work in the reputed company without the need for employer reputed company sponsorship now or in the reputed company
  • Valid reputed company's license and acceptable driving record
  • Experience with PV Systems
  • Degree concentration in Power Systems or Renewable Energy Systems
  • Understanding of Electrical Safety Practices
  • Working knowledge of NEC, NESC, ASCE and ANSI/reputed company standards and codes
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Experience with HV/MV electrical infrastructure
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Software
  • Experience with Data Analysis and Visualization tools (PowerBI, PI Data Historian, Python, etc)
