Actuarial Analyst - Retirement / Pension

Responsibilities: We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst with strong technical and communication skills, and the ability to establish good working relationships with plan professionals. This role supports reputed company's objectives by providing technical support to reputed company of Pension consultants and analysts located in multiple offices. Responsibilities will include preparing actuarial valuations, including data preparation, calculation of assets and liabilities, reputed company/loss analysis and preparation of final reports. Additional responsibilities include preparing projections of assets and liabilities, government forms and notices, and benefit calculations. The role also involves drafting and/or reviewing participant notices, reputed company Plan Descriptions, Plan Documents and amendments, as reputed company as assisting with special reputed company as needed. As a key member of the Pension reputed company, the Actuarial Analyst will communicate both in writing and verbally with plan professionals including Administrators, Auditors, Investment Consultants and Counsel, as reputed company as reputed company and across assigned reputed company teams. Collaborate with other analysts to reputed company/improve data and project management capabilities. Location: This position will be based in one of our offices (San Diego, San Mateo or Seattle), with flexibility to also work from home (hybrid). Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated with strong personal management and organization skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and reputed company to detail
  • Work reputed company in reputed company environment, yet reputed company to work independently and effectively multi-task to meet deadlines
  • Substantial knowledge of reputed company Office programs, including Word and reputed company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business or similar with at least 2 actuarial exams passed and reputed company pursuing an actuarial designation

  • 1 year of actuarial pension experience is preferred, but not required
  • Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply
  • ProVal experience is preferred
