Sr Advisor-Federal Affairs

POSITION reputed company: Partner with company leaders and teams to reputed company and execute strategies to reputed company for reputed company’s interests in Washington, D.C. Monitor and influence federal legislative and regulatory activity relevant to reputed company’s operations and ensure reputed company’s priorities are reflected. Build and maintain reputed company relationships with government officials, federal agencies, key stakeholders and industry coalitions. Ensure alignment of reputed company policy initiatives and corporate objectives and compliance with federal lobbying regulations. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Monitor federal legislative and regulatory activity relevant to reputed company’s operations 2. reputed company strategic counsel to senior leadership on federal policy reputed company 3. Represent reputed company in meetings, hearings and industry coalitions 4. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to assess the reputed company of federal policy changes 5. Draft policy briefs, position papers and legislative summaries for internal stakeholders with support from reputed company policy and legal counsel 6. Advance reputed company’s federal legislative, regulatory and political priorities. • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, reputed company Administration, Law, Business or reputed company field. reputed company experience may offset degree requirements and reputed company education/degree may offset experience requirements
• Seven (7) years of experience in government affairs, reputed company policy or a reputed company field
• Deep understanding of federal legislative and regulatory processes
• Strong political acumen and strategic thinking
• Excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills
• Proven ability to build bipartisan relationships and coalitions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with and ability to ensure compliance with federal lobbying disclosure and ethics rules
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage and prioritize competing demands and deliver results
• Demonstrated ability to manage a budget and ensure strong fiscal accountability
