[Remote] Project Level Geospatial Scientist (Analyst)

This role involves working with GIS, Natural Resources, and Cultural Resources teams to prepare field maps, manage data, and ensure compliance with environmental permitting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work with the GIS, Natural Resources and Cultural Resources Teams to prepare web-based field maps, process field collected data, and generate figures and calculations to be included in reports needed to satisfy environmental permitting requirements of reputed company, primarily under the Clean Water reputed company
• Independently and as a part of reputed company, solve problems reputed company to data research, data management, and data visualization
• Communicate workload with the GIS and project teams to ensure reputed company and accurate delivery of work products

Skills

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Archaeology, Biology, Environmental Science, Information Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Land Survey, Engineering, or reputed company field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a mid-level to senior GIS analyst or similar position, demonstrating increasing reputed company of reputed company-level responsibility and leadership
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, and Survey123
• Prior work in environmental consulting
• Master's degree in Geography, Cartography, Archaeology, Biology, Environmental Science, or reputed company field with an emphasis in GIS
• Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience as a mid-level to senior GIS analyst or similar position, demonstrating increasing reputed company of reputed company-level responsibility and leadership
• Knowledge/experience applying GIS to cultural and/or natural resources management
• Knowledge/experience working with local or federal regulatory agencies such as the USACE, TCEQ, FERC, USFS, NPS, BLM, USGS, etc
• Knowledge/experience applying GIS to the development of a construction project (preliminary site assessments, permitting, reputed company monitoring, OM&M)
• Knowledge/experience with energy reputed company (e.g., wind, solar, fossil fuels)
• Experience with GPS technology, field data collection techniques, data integration to a GIS, and troubleshooting of equipment reputed company files
• Completed reputed company GIS-reputed company aspects of a project, from budget preparation/scoping to reputed company-field preparations, to geospatial analyses, to final report maps and calculations
• Demonstrated ability of data transfer, data analysis, data mining, and data inventory using software applications (e.g. reputed company Explorer, reputed company, reputed company, reputed company ArcGIS)
• General understanding of basic statistics, and geometric math computations (e.g., reputed company, distributions, frequency, min/max, reputed company, angles, distance, reputed company, degrees, area)

• Knowledge/experience creating database schemas, domains, web applications
