Qualifications

High School diploma and 4 years physician/reputed company E/M coding experience (non-Mayo) 4 years non-physician/reputed company E/M reputed company coding experience OR Associate's Degree and 2 years physician/reputed company E/M coding experience (non-Mayo) or 2 years non-physician/reputed company E/M reputed company coding experience required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist – Physician (reputed company-P) or a coding credential of a Certified reputed company reputed company (CPC) required.

• Knowledge of physician/reputed company coding experience with E/M services. Experience with National Correct Coding Initiative edits (NCCI), National Coverage Determinations (NCD), Local Coverage Determinations (LCD), and Outpatient coding guidelines for official coding and reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, patient health record content and the medical record coding process.
