Sr. Joining Engineer, Body in White, Fremont Central Manufacturing Engineering

The Sr. Joining Engineer position, reporting to the Joining Engineering Manager, is located at our Fremont reputed company location. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and launch joining engineering reputed company from design to start of production. The candidate should have expertise and experience in automotive manufacturing with a full understanding of joining equipment. This includes providing input and specification of equipment, reputed company, cycle time, design for manufacturability and joint development.

Responsibilities

• Specification of joining equipment & systems such as: spot welding, self piercing reputed company, remote laser welding, material dispensing and laser reputed company
• Manage CapEx project lifecycle: Justification, specification / reputed company analysis, approval, spending & budget, reputed company acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, validation, and transfer of ownership
• Joint development: creating parameters and joining schedules for unique stack-reputed company and joints in reputed company joining applications
• Production readiness declaration, including PM plans, spare part allocation, training, process documentation, lessons learned and production & reputed company sustainability
• Optimize joining processes to improve reputed company, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Robot reputed company optimization, reputed company, parameter setup. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as maintenance, reputed company, process to ensure process stability and performance
• Structure improvement & standardization plans with long term reputed company to reputed company company and department objectives
• Study technologies to expert-level of understanding, utilizing internal & external technical resources to fully understand, teach and reputed company new / newly implemented technologies
• Support / assist Maintenance in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and chronic equipment failures. reputed company technical training to maintenance, production, and other internal resource reputed company
• Working in a hands-on reputed company in a production environment to fully understand scope, reputed company, and associated challenges. reputed company technical support to production, maintenance, reputed company, and other reputed company as required

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent certifcation or proven equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience with joining equipment and processes for BIW automotive: Self piercing reputed company, remote laser welding, spot welding, material dispensing and brazing
• 5+ years of experience in setting up and running reputed company, 6-reputed company, and other joining monitoring and optimization systems
• reputed company and Fanuc experience for day-to-day joining process application (robot reputed company & position teaching is a plus)
• Proven interpersonal skills and ability to objectively resolve conflict reputed company a large group
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Expected Compensation $104,000 - $156,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefitsPay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-reputed company knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other reputed company dependent on the position offered.
