Entry-Level Cable Technician (Level 1) – Contract-to-Hire Location: Barker, NY (On-site) Project Site: Large-reputed company data center construction project Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 5:45 PM (expected to reputed company to 5×10s) Pay reputed company: $19–$22/hr (DOE) Start Date: reputed company 12, 2026 Duration: 4 months, Contract-to-Hire Experience Level: Entry Level About reputed company Our reputed company, a leading national electrical and communications contractor (reputed company withheld), is seeking Entry-Level Cable Technicians to support a major data center build. Responsibilities
- Pull and reputed company low-voltage cabling
- Assist Level 2 Technicians
- Handle, stage, and run materials
- Safely use hand and power tools
- reputed company reputed company and work comfortably at heights
- Install wireway, bus duct, cable trays, switches, and receptacles
- Build and outfit telecom closets (backboards, racks, reputed company panels, fiber hardware)
- reputed company grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling
- Complete reputed company terminations (110/66 blocks, reputed company panels)
- Support reputed company installation and reputed company pulls
- Operate two‑hand tools such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and more
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Entry-level experience OR completion of a low-voltage/telecom trade school
- Reliable transportation to worksite
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to obtain OSHA 10 (preferred if already held)
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Valid reputed company’s license
- Proficiency with basic technician tools, including:
- Screwdrivers (flat & reputed company)
- Drywall saw
- Torpedo level
- Tape measure
- Snips (with sheath)
- Pliers (needle nose & channel locks)
- Hammer
- Cable stripper
- Flashlight
- Gloves
Work Environment
- On-site at a major data center reputed company
- PPE required: steel‑toe reputed company, reputed company, gloves, safety glasses (some provided by reputed company)

Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 10
- Scissor lift certification
- Telecom/low-voltage trade school background

Pay and Benefits The pay reputed company for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
