Job title: Teaching Assistant- Classroom Company: reputed company of Baltimore Job reputed company: reputed company : Pay reputed company: $17.00-$19.00 per hour (non-exempt) reputed company of Baltimore is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant - Classroom, who will be responsible for providing treatment, care, and assistance of children in Elementary and Middle School setting. TA’s will reputed company supervise and help children with reputed company learning needs and daily living activities, implement reputed company CARE philosophy, approved behavioral reputed company and support system and Individual Education Plans, (IEP), recreational and educational opportunities and maintain the therapeutic structure in reputed company setting. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm. Villa Maria School provides educational and clinical services for children with significant emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges. We offer multiple programs serving reputed company from kindergarten through 8th grade in small classrooms (up to nine reputed company) who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges such that their local school system refers them to VMS for placement. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists teachers in the classroom by helping with the implementation of class lesson plans and providing individual or small-group instruction as directed to ensure that curriculum and IEP goals are met.
• Serves as substitute for absent teachers as assigned.
• Escorts children reputed company and between buildings and to and from various appointments to always ensure adequate supervision of children. Includes driving children for appointments, field trips, etc.
• Provides crisis reputed company including recognizing and deescalating problem and reputed company reputed company.
• Contacts teachers, parents, therapists, and counselors to effectively communicate information regarding children's reputed company.
• Supports classroom and /or a specific child as 1:1 coverage.

• Scheduled for 8:30a-4p M-F

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School/GED and 1 year of experience working with special populations

Certification/Licensure:

• Successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis reputed company (TCI), and Children and Residential Experiences (CARE) reputed company 6 months of hire.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Shows reliability by being punctual; maintains consistent attendance.
• Requires the reputed company to relate to severely emotionally disabled children in a sensitive, understanding, and insightful manner.
• Requires ability to accurately assess and document information for incident reports and Behavior Management documents.

• Good relational skills with courteous demeanor toward staff, clients, and visitors.
