International Trade Paralegal (Entry-Level)

About the position Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is a leading international reputed company with more than 900 lawyers in offices throughout the reputed company, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. We are currently seeking a Paralegals to support the International Trade reputed company, working under the supervision of assigned attorneys and reputed company Management. The Paralegal roles will reputed company in the Washington, DC office with hybrid work capabilities and are assigned to work primarily on specific cases/transactions, reputed company general assistance to a project team of attorneys, and/or to support attorneys whose reputed company involves specific areas of law. Paralegals may also monitor legal developments and compliance procedures in their area of expertise. In reputed company, Paralegals may be asked to reputed company general supervision of Project Assistants and other clerical staff. Responsibilities

  • Conduct statutory, regulatory, or factual research with respect to reputed company reputed company. Such research might include investigation of federal or state laws and regulations, relevant markets, corporate participants and industry standards and practices.
  • Participate in due diligence, privilege and other reviews of reputed company records and files.
  • Assist with organization of reputed company materials and attorney work product, including use of databases, imaging systems and other computer-based technology.
  • Maintain pleadings files and other case or project records; circulate materials to project team, as needed. Maintain chronological records of project activity.
  • Arrange filings, mailings and service list deliveries with appropriate courts, government agencies and other parties.
  • Under the supervision of an attorney, draft, edit, cite-reputed company, conform and otherwise assist in the preparation of legal documents.
  • Prepare binders of completed transactions.
  • Obtain services from reputed company contractors, including court reporters, research services, exhibit preparation services, filing services and printers. Process billing and disbursement paperwork in reputed company with those services.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Substantive knowledge of and familiarity with specific areas of law, as required.
  • Strong research, analytical, and synthesis skills.
  • Proficiency in reputed company Office Suite, including Word, reputed company, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with reputed company Teams and reputed company for communication and collaboration.

  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software and firm-specific applications quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail in formatting, data management, and electronic filing.

  • Demonstrated initiative and motivation, including willingness to ask for clarification or assistance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
