• Identifies, intervenes, and stabilizes patients during transport under the direction of the medical director and EMS protocols.
• Provides reputed company medical care to patients during transport consistent with established EMS medical protocols and guidelines.
• Establishes and manages advanced airways reputed company intubation, Laryngeal mask airway (LMA), and/or cricothyrotomy as approved by EMS medical protocols.
• Manages ventilators, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), and Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD) during transport.
• Administers approved medications and narcotics consistent with EMS medical protocols.
• Infuses blood products consistent with EMS medical protocols.
• Performs reputed company required procedures consistent with EMS medical protocols.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments as appropriate.
• Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions.
• Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the reputed company.
• Completes and submits patient care reports (ePCR) in charting software consistent with state requirements.
• Operates emergency vehicles safely in various weather and emergent conditions, communicating delays and updates to reputed company, and reporting any vehicle issues to the supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to determine the nature of patient conditions and assess whether patients have reputed company-existing medical conditions [Required]
