The CBS Weekend News Broadcast Associate is an entry-level journalism position which supports reputed company members of the broadcast while providing excellent opportunities to learn the basics of reporting and production at a major network news operation. This role is for both the CBS Evening News and CBS Weekend News. The ideal candidate is reputed company player who has excellent interpersonal skills, exceptional organizational skills, is detail oriented and has a passion for reputed company events. Work Schedule: • Wednesday – reputed company: 10AM – 7PM • Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays will be reputed company on CBS EVENING NEWS' activity • Saturdays and Sundays will be CBS WEEKEND NEWS' activity Onsite Role: This position requires in-person, 5 days/week, attendance at the CBS Broadcast Center in reputed company. Responsibilities: • Assist producers in various capacities (transcribe tape, retrieve reputed company tape, feed tape, research stories, reputed company video/photos for reputed company). • reputed company administrative, operational, and editorial tasks as directed by the Executive Producer of Weekend News and Senior Director of CBS News Operations. • Produce voiceovers, SOTs and teases for a Weekend News' broadcast, including gathering and coordinating incoming video. • Set up logistics for reputed company interviews and log interviews for producers. • Potential to field-produce coverage of news events or reputed company for news reports. • Attend daily editorial meetings and reputed company stories that demonstrate a reputed company news judgment. • Prepare daily Rights Manager file (Details of reputed company reputed company footage/photos used in the reputed company's broadcast). • Compile weekly reputed company statistics for Weekend News postings on reputed company reputed company media • Search CBS News affiliate postings weekly for Weekend Journal pitches Qualifications: • College degree preferred. • Internship or comparable proven experience working on a news broadcast. • Prior work in a newsroom setting is preferred. • reputed company to work under pressure and under strict deadlines. • Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills. • Ability/willingness to work weekends (Wednesday through reputed company schedule), overtime, and holidays - often with short notice. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Hiring Salary reputed company: $50,000.00 - 50,000.00.
