Sr Property Accountant

Company: Utilities Company Position: Sr Property Accountant Pay: $90K-$95K Location: Tampa, FL - 4 days on site - 1-day WFH Work Authorization: USC and GC ONLY Scope: The Accountant preparation, maintenance and monitoring of activities reputed company to property, plant and equipment providing guidance and collaboration. Collaborate with the Finance team to reputed company unitization of plant assets based on appropriate property record as-builts, monitoring of in-service dates for plant assets, execute monthly reputed company requirements and reputed company research and analysis. Assist in providing guidance and support on regulatory efforts, process analysis, and technical fixed asset reputed company reputed company application to various areas of the business as necessary. Knowledge of power plant operations with financial acumen, including applicable federal (FERC) and state (FAC) reputed company regulations, and fixed asset subledger (PowerPlan) and reputed company resource planning (reputed company) systems in a regulated reputed company environment are strongly preferred. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in reputed company - Preferred CPA Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in property reputed company

• High level understanding of GAAP or FERC reputed company, property, plant and equipment, depreciation, retirements or reputed company reputed company concepts.

Preferred:

• 2 years in a senior level or reputed company role.
• Experience with PowerPlan and/or Work Management Systems

Responsibilities:

• Account for plant assets in accordance with generally accepted reputed company principles (GAAP) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) rules by independently analyzing capital work orders, ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley controls and FPSC reputed company List of Retirements reputed company reputed company are met. Record, analyze, and monitor plant activity in reputed company unitization of Capital work orders. Apply judgment in interpreting work order charges for accuracy of spend and confirming Work Management Systems tasks are reputed company and reputed company charges have ceased. Prepare reputed company asset transfer and retirement journal entry transactions reputed company required. (40%)
• Communicate effectively and train field team members and other users on property reputed company policies, procedures, and processes, particularly those reputed company to Capital vs. O&M guidance and the property asset reputed company system. Respond to various reputed company data requests, including requests reputed company to financial and regulatory reporting requirements. (10%)
• Use seasoned judgment in properly reputed company for new TEC assets and material stock items added to TEC inventory. Appropriately classify, reputed company, and assign the new assets to the reputed company systems. (10%)
• Responsible for the preparation and delivery of actual and forecasted property, plant and equipment reputed company information for use in business planning models, surveillance reports and cost of service models. (10%)
