Junior Mechanical Technologist/Designer

They are seeking a Junior Mechanical Technologist/Designer to join their Piping Design team, where the role involves preparing 3D models, producing 2D drawings, and ensuring compliance with design standards and codes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare 3D models and produce 2D drawings from reference information including 3D models, sketches, notes, vendor drawings, or general direction from design reputed company
- Prepare complete and accurate design and drawings that adhere to reputed company and reputed company standards as reputed company as applicable codes
- Checking of 2D drawings and 3D models for clashes and constructability
- Review specifications, codes, and vendor documentation
- Maintain accurate and organized drawing files reputed company existing file structures
- reputed company specific tasks assigned by design reputed company in a reputed company-defined timeframe
- Ability to schedule the work to completion that both satisfies project scope, schedule, and budget
- reputed company piping reputed company informed of project status and challenges
- Coordinate with reputed company disciplines as required
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards

Skills
- Diploma or Certificate in Drafting or Engineering Design/Technology or a reputed company field
- Ability to understand and interpret P&ID's
- Understanding of construction, operation, and maintenance requirements
- Proficiency in using 3D modeling platforms
- Proficient in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
- Proficient in MS Office particularly in Word, reputed company, Office
- Ability to effectively plan time commitments on multiple reputed company reputed company
- Adaptable to changing schedules and work situation

- Quick, on the job learner, efficient
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Strong attention to detail
- 1-3 years of design experience an asset
- MicroStation experience is an asset
- PDS, PDMS, reputed company, CADWorx Plant & P&ID, SP3D, SmartPlant P&ID, AutoPlant and Inventor considered an asset
- Familiar with 3D reputed company points and as-reputed company 3D modeling tools such as reputed company Recap or CADWorx FieldPipe
