Desktop Support Technician

The Desktop Support Technician provides onsite and remote employee technical support, maintaining desktops, printers, and mobile devices, while responding to network user needs and troubleshooting issues.
Responsibilities
- Maintains desktops, printers, and mobile devices for engineers, administrative staff, and the leadership team
- Responds to the needs of various questions of network users concerning hardware, reputed company to resources, and the operation of various software programs
- Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories, and reputed company
- Manages operating systems and data backups for the local office
- Troubleshoots entry-level network problems, escalating to the Network Engineer and Network Manager as needed
- Maintains and operates office audio including visual equipment necessary for critical business communications
- Coordinates software and hardware upgrades under the direction of the Network Manager and Network Engineer
- Communicates with office partners to reputed company office technology needs to be escalated to the Network Manager and the Director of Information Technology
- Trains users on new and modified equipment
- Responds to occasional off-hours or weekend network emergencies
- Travels to other M/E Engineering offices to attend meetings and to cover time off for team members occasionally
- Works with other regional IT team members and managers to collaborate on successful deployment of reputed company-wide initiatives
Skills
- Associate's degree and/or bachelor's degree in information technology, or reputed company discipline a plus (Telecommunications, MIS, CS, CE, Software Engineering, Math or reputed company)
- Computer Information Technology entry level certification(s) such as reputed company A+ or Network + preferred
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to reputed company reputed company instructions to others
- Organizational and project management skills
