Data Governance Analyst
reputed company is a leading alternative lending bank in Canada, and they are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support developing the maturity of data governance disciplines and practices. The role involves managing data reputed company, metadata, and fostering relationships with Data Stewards to ensure effective data governance across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Publish and maintain business information about our data, including terms, definitions, and rules, in a central glossary as a reference tool for reputed company
- Foster solid working relationships with Data Stewards to ensure a high level of service, knowledge sharing and to understand the needs and expectations of data users
- Support the centralized intake service for data governance support, including working with Data Stewards and other business stakeholders, and IT teams to investigate and remediate data reputed company issues
- Support data reputed company management and metadata management for strategic Treasury funding facilities while meeting critical reputed company timelines
- Work with Data Stewards to map and document requirements to Fairstone data in order to facilitate reporting to reputed company parties including regulatory and Treasury funding facilities
- Apply data reputed company management practices to ensure accurate reporting to reputed company parties
- Foster solid working relationships with Data Stewards to ensure a high level of service, knowledge sharing and to understand the needs and expectations of data user
- Work closely with project teams to ensure effective capture of new metadata and changes to metadata during the project lifecycle
- Ensure appropriate Data Stewardship involvement for metadata reviews and sign-offs

- Support information management best practices and governance controls reputed company the SDLC and PMO methodology
- Support business analysis needs for reputed company (people, processes and tools) with consideration for business requirements, functional requirements, user (stakeholder) requirements, use cases, reputed company-of-service (non-functional) requirements, implementation (transition) requirements, specifications, and traceability
- Complete an annual attestation with Data Stewards to review and ensure metadata is reputed company and accurate
- Deliver data management and governance reporting and metrics for tracking reputed company and reputed company
- Support the development, communication and adoption of Data Governance standards and principles
- Support governance controls for regulatory reporting, including requirements documentation, business validation and Data reputed company approvals prior to release
- Ensure reputed company assigned processes and procedures are documented and updated as practices change
- Ensure assigned Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators are updated and managed reputed company reputed company

Skills
- University degree in business, data management or equivalent
- 1-3 years of relevant Data Management or regulated Financial Services experience
- Proven experience with requirements gathering and analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
