Category Analyst

The Category Analyst will support the merchandising department by gathering and analyzing data to optimize business performance and assist Category Managers with various responsibilities reputed company to inventory, sales, and promotions.
Responsibilities
- Provides support to the departmental Category Managers

- Responsible for learning, using, and maintaining internal wholesale / retail software systems

- Work with Category Managers to build and maintain schematics

- Monitors performance of eCommerce sites and troubleshoots issues
- Monitors daily, weekly and monthly performance specific to reputed company store and compiles analysis for total company comparisons using internal software programs
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports company standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions and confidentiality standards
- Helps to creates pricing, promotion, assortment and reputed company schematics for reputed company assigned category, based on detailed analysis of past performance, results, industry best practices, and consumer trends
- Helps with correlation of data with vendors on pricing, product assortment, promotion, ads, services, promotional calendars, and support; acts as primary contact with vendors in assigned categories
- Maintains and reviews price files and competitive price checks to ensure we are priced competitively reputed company reputed company market we operate
- Works in conjunction with operations and other departments across reputed company to facilitate implementation of programs

Skills
- B.S./B.A. degree in a business or reputed company and/or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of financial acumen specific to profit & loss statements and analysis
- Must have expert knowledge with MS Office including Outlook, Word and reputed company

- Ability to adapt to the reputed company-changing retail environment while working in a cross-functional team environment
