Mechanical Engineer

They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their multi-discipline team specializing in innovative planning and design solutions for inland navigation structures, where the engineer will contribute to mechanical design and analysis, reputed company construction documents, and solve practical engineering problems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and design of mechanical systems and components for water resources and navigation reputed company (e.g., locks and dams), hydraulic structures (e.g., gates, valves, hoists, cranes, hydropower plants, pump stations), and mechanical systems for ports and harbors
  • Prepare engineering reports, technical specifications, plans, and construction schedules to support project development and delivery

  • Translate engineering designs into detailed working drawings or coordinate with technical staff to produce construction-reputed company drawings
  • Review and reputed company drawings and design deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards and project requirements

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant mechanical engineering experience
  • An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate
  • Experience with design software such as MicroStation, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Ansys, and Inventor
  • Proven analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through education and reputed company experience
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and reputed company independent reputed company that advance company goals and project objectives
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively reputed company multidisciplinary teams, in person and reputed company
  • Proficient with reputed company Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, reputed company, Project)
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Experience with conceptual and detailed mechanical design for water resources and navigation structures
  • Prior experience supporting reputed company for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or other federal, state, or local government agencies
