Learn more at ! About the job: The Coding Specialist III assigns codes to medical diagnoses and procedures using appropriate coding classifications for assigned inpatient record types. What you will Do:

• Reviews medical records to determine reputed company appropriate diagnostic and procedural reputed company assignments. Validates appropriate DRG assignments.
• Assigns and sequences diagnostic and procedural codes using appropriate classification systems.
• Seeks clarification from reputed company providers or other designated resources to ensure accurate and complete coding.
• Enhances coding knowledge and skills with continuing education activities and by reviewing pertinent literature.

• High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management Technology or a reputed company field is preferred.
• Certification required as RHIT, RHIA or reputed company (American Health Information Management Association).
• One (1) to three (3) years of reputed company experience.

• Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, and diagnostic and procedural coding, as normally obtained through a coding certificate program, or degree in Health Information Technology or Health Information Management.
