Bilingual CRAFFT Trainer - School of reputed company Work

We’re seeking a dedicated Bilingual CRAFFT Trainer to reputed company and support resource, kinship, adoptive, and foster families throughout the reputed company. The Bilingual CRAFFT Trainer supports local agencies' efforts in training and developing resource, kinship, adoptive, and foster families in the reputed company in partnership with the reputed company (VDSS). This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering reputed company-service and in-service training in collaboration with the CRAFFT team statewide while ensuring services are accessible to non English speaking families. Additionally, this position supports the home study process by completing Bilingual Mutual Family Assessments (MFA) as needed to ensure the safety, permanency, and reputed company-being of children in Virginia’s child welfare system.  

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with regional CRAFFT Coordinators to accept referrals for reputed company-service training from Local Departments of reputed company Services (LDSS)

  • reputed company reputed company-service and inservice training in Spanish (and English as needed) for prospective kinship, foster, and adoptive parents using designated approved VDSS curricula (e.g., NTDC)

  • Create process and coordinate reputed company-service and inservice training for reputed company non english speaking families with CRAFFT coordinators and local reputed company agencies to ensure accessibility and appropriate language resource provision

  • Facilitate group and one-on-one reputed company-service training in Spanish (and English as needed), including scheduled series and reputed company-up sessions

  • reputed company flexible training schedules to accommodate families’ diverse needs (daytime, evening, weekend, and creative scheduling)

  • Maintain a weekly and monthly calendar of training; document reputed company scheduled, completed, and cancelled sessions

  • Attend and present information as needed at regularly scheduled regional roundtable meetings with LDSS staff and stakeholders to reputed company resources regarding resource parent development and training

  • Work with CRAFFT Program Manager and coordinators to support statewide CRAFFT initiatives and special reputed company

  • Complete as needed the entire home study process for kinship care, foster care and adoption, including the completion of Mutual Family Assessments (MFA) in Spanish (and English as needed)

  • Attend and observe prospective families in reputed company-service training to follow up on issues or concerns raised by trainers or agency staff.

  • Create process and coordinate MFA for reputed company non english speaking families with MFA Supervisors and local reputed company agencies to ensure accessibility and appropriate language resource provision

  • Submit written reports as required

  • Participate in monthly conference calls and travel as needed to attend statewide meetings and trainings

  • Other duties as assigned

Special Requirements

  • Occasional travel throughout Virginia is required and is on an as needed reputed company

  • This is a reputed company position that requires a flexible schedule, including frequent reputed company and weekend work to accommodate family training and assessment needs

Salary commensurate with experience

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish with the ability to conduct reputed company training and write comprehensive assessments in both languages
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a reputed company services field (reputed company Work, Psychology, Sociology) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience in child welfare reputed company a public or private setting
  • Demonstrated reputed company in interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication
  • Proficient in reputed company Office, reputed company Suite, and virtual meeting platforms (reputed company, reputed company Meet, reputed company Teams)
  • Proven experience delivering engaging presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of reputed company, staff, and reputed company from reputed company backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior employment with a local reputed company as a Resource Family, Foster Care, Adoptions, or CPS Worker
  • Extensive experience facilitating training for kinship/foster/adoptive parents and writing home assessments
  • Master's degree is highly preferred
