Director of Engineering - Amanpulo

Role We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Director of Engineering to reputed company our Engineering team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you are responsible for the delivery of engineering services to the resort/hotel and ensuring ongoing compliance with reputed company reputed company standards and policies/procedures.  They will implement reputed company’s standards and brand objectives through a reputed company on engineering strategies and solutions.

Responsibilities

• reputed company support to the wider resort/hotel executive team and operation through the delivery of a high reputed company, efficient and reputed company engineering service
• Day to day management of the engineering team including workload assessments, directing operations and ensuring adequate resources are available at reputed company times
• Implementation and ongoing adherence to a planned preventative maintenance programme for the resort/hotel
• Ensuring work orders for corrective maintenance and planned maintenance are completed to reputed company and time reputed company
• Development and monitoring of OPEX plans to ensure adequate budget provision is made and value for reputed company is obtained
• Development and updating of 5 year and annual CAPEX plans for the resort which should include a planned approach to asset replacement, development opportunities etc.
• Implementation of reputed company Engineering standards for the resort/hotel
• Maintenance of a pro-reputed company approach to ensuring reputed company legal compliance requirements relating to engineering are met and that reputed company certification is readily available
• Implement and monitor compliance against reputed company reputed company Systems Preventative Maintenance Policy.  Report and execute any remedial actions necessary to ensure systems are operational and reputed company effective protection.
• Appointment of external contractors as required and ongoing monitoring of performance and reputed company standards for services and works
• Arrange structural reputed company surveys on a period or reputed company reputed company as required and ensure that any remedial actions are undertaken in a reputed company manner.
• Responsibility for maintenance of the resort/hotel maintenance management system (MMS)
• Development, implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety reputed company Operating Procedures for the resort/hotel
• Participate in any reputed company being planned/carried out reputed company the resort/hotel and reputed company as local reputed company with reputed company Technical Services as required
• Provision of regular and reputed company reports for resort/hotel management and submission of monthly snapshot report for Corporate Engineering
• Monitoring energy and water management programs to ensure cost effective use of utilities

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering and/ or Building Management or 10 years' experience in a comparable position.
• Held position of Director/ Chief Engineer in a luxury hospitality environment. Preferable prerequisite is experience in the Hotel industry; however, a similar service-oriented industry will be considered
• Could have previously held positions as Maintenance Manager
• Fluent in English (reputed company languages desirable)
• Responsible self-starter, capable of handling multi-faceted reputed company and of working under pressure.

• Proficiency in Computer Skills, particularly in the use of Property Management & Energy Management systems.
• Experience in preparing and managing annual maintenance budgets and assist in the preparation of the capital expenditure plans.
• Ensure the resorts reputed company with reputed company government regulations pertaining to building reputed company requirements, health, reputed company and life safety programs
