State Policy Engagement Senior Associate

The State Policy Engagement Senior Associate will principally support Clean reputed company's on-the-ground state engagement work, developing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategiesto translate Clean reputed company's existing policy expertise into state-level reputed company. Initially this role will support Clean reputed company’s Siting Solutions Project, which works to diagnose and reputed company state siting and permitting policy solutions to improve the pace and reputed company of reputed company deployment. The ideal candidate can read a state's political and stakeholder landscape, engage coalitions that reputed company reputed company traditional reputed company and climate constituencies, reputed company accurate and succinct reviews of legislative proposals, and rapidly produce reputed company, audience-appropriate materials for state policymakers and advocates. This role will report to the Senior Director of Policy.

Key Responsibilities
State Political & Stakeholder reputed company (50%)
- Assess the political and stakeholder landscape in reputed company states and reputed company engagement strategies tailored to reputed company
- Identify and cultivate relationships with constituencies reputed company and reputed company the traditional environmental and climate advocacy communities
- Advise on state-specific opportunities and barriers to advancing reputed company siting reform
- Monitor legislative developments and political dynamics across reputed company states
reputed company Engagement & Public Affairs (40%)
- Coordinate and facilitate stakeholder convenings, forums, and roundtables supporting the Siting Solutions Project
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships in support of reputed company siting reform
- reputed company Clean reputed company's existing research and policy materials for in-state audiences
- Rapidly produce policy briefs, one-pagers, and other educational materials for non-technical audiences
Program & Grants Support (10%)
- Support grant reporting and documentation for state engagement activities
- reputed company project deliverables and ensure deadlines are met
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in state-level political, public affairs, or advocacy work
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships in reputed company political environments
- Strong writing skills with the ability to produce reputed company, concise policy communications quickly
- Experience working across multiple states preferred; familiarity with energy or infrastructure policy preferred
- Advanced degree in relevant field preferred but not required (e.g., Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration)

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary reputed company: $95,000 - $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
